Bring The Heat 7.25.09

Jeremy ran in the B-R fundraiser "Bring The Heat" 3k x-country meet Sat. morning. When I had woke up earlier that morning I heard it was raining - so this mom was thinking maybe we could sleep in instead of being at the Gasthof at 7:15 am - but I thought I better wake Jeremy up just in case - well he said they will ran the race even if it was raining - so we got ready and went on down. When we got down there this is what the sky looked like - it brighten up and was actually sunny while they were running, but that didn't last long and it rained off and on again most of they day. At least they got the 3k in without it raining - but it was very wet, you could see the water slash up behind them as they ran!!

Here they are getting there instructions and waiting for gun shot to start the meet...

Jeremy running hard...

His time was 12 mins and 36 seconds, not bad for the first run of the year..this is his second year on the team.

He was wore out, he placed 7th out of 87 runners!! Out of the top 7 runners - 5 of them were from the B-R Jr. High team.. Good Job Guys!!

A DAY AT RUTH'S 7.23.09

Jan and I have been helping Ruth with her "spring cleaning" - today we worked in her kitchen, dining room and laundry room. Always fun to work together..when we were younger it didn't always go so well..I will let Jan tell you who wasn't too interested in doing it right back then..hee hee!! Maybe I have grown up since then :-) Now we seem to work together pretty good!! Thanks Jan for always being willing to help clean the times when Ruth was in the hospital and not able, and helping with the spring cleaning last summer and now.

We went to the park friday night and had Fat Boys pizza and ice cream cake. I wanted Jord to invite friends over for a party, but he didn't want to - I guess he is getting to old for that :-) So we just called the Kemp family and this is all we could gather up!! Jeremy and Eric were at SuperHoops, Katilynn had a softball game, Keiths had a cook-out, dad went to dinkys and Ethan was sick!!! When dad and mom get back from flordia, hopefully we can get everyone together and grandma can make the traditional birthday cake.

Jordan Turns 18 Today!

Prom Picture - April 2009

One Year Old!!

It is hard to believe that 18yrs ago we headed to the hospital to get our firstborn! Where does the time go?
Everyone was so excited - you were the 1st grandchild on the Kemp side and were quite spoiled. Aunt Janice loved and kissed on you sometimes until you cried! Karen and Keith were your little babysitters :-) And with Grandma Kemp and Great Aunt Ruth you were very loved!!
On the Graber side you were 1 of 6 born in 1991 - 5 boys and 1 girl!! Shawn, you, Ryan, Jolene, Derrick and Brandon. You had a lot of great time playing at "Gramps" on Sunday nights and still enjoy getting together with your Graber cousins.
Now you will be a senior this year, you are taking senior pictures this month sometime - it is so hard to believe :-)
You have turned into such a nice, good looking, responsible young man!!
This summer you worked on a carpenter crew, getting up early and putting in 10 hr days - finding out what it means to put in a days work. I'm so proud of you!!
As you are at a time when that you will be making some major life decisions - just know that dad and I are here for you and will support whatever your dreams are...SO DREAM BIG!!
And as the song goes,
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage to dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever your life brings
So let my love give you roots and help you find your wings
Love, Mom
