This summer I had to run Jeremy to school 5 days aweek at 7am for X Country practice.....with gas prices being sky high I didn't want to make extra trips - so I decided that I would use that time to exercise myself. Well another mom was doing the same thing and wanted to know if I wanted to do the "From The Couch to a 5k" schedule with her....well I was a little hesitant - but gave it a try.....starting out running 30 seconds at a time...which totally winded me!! and working ourselves up from there...just have to say that I surprised myself at how fast this 43 yr old body adjusted, on Monday's we would jump up to a longer period of time and at first I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it ...so I would get up Sunday mornings and go out and give it a try! Well, we started the first week of June and on Aug. 6th we did the 5k at the Watermelon Festival without walking! It took us 36 mins...BUT we did it!
